Welcome to the Past Pupils news section of the Good Counsel College website. This website was launched in November 2009 with a view to providing information about our school to all who might be interested, parents, staff, students, friends and of course the many former students of the school who have passed through GCC over the years. We will post a weekly newsletter to keep people abreast of current happenings in the college and to make them aware of events which may be coming up.

We are particularly keen in making contact with our Past Pupils and with providing them with a point of contact with the school. The form which invites you to submit your details in the Past Pupils section of the site is aimed at gathering contact information so that in the event of certain year groups getting together for a reunion or any other function we will be able to send notice to the relevant people.
Furthermore if any group wish to organise a reunion of their year group we may be able to help by sourcing class lists and  addresses in the archives. We would be happy to help in relation to this. 

For now let us just bring one upcoming event to your attention.

The All Ireland winning football team of 1993 have organised a get together for December 28th next in the Brandon House Hotel. This event has now been extended to include all the Leinster and All Ireland winning sides from '89 to '99. Already many of these past players will have been informed by the organisers but others may not have been 'got to' yet. They are hereby invited to get in touch.

The hope is that although this is largely a teams based reunion it will provide a starting point from which to consider meaningful reunions each year from now on. Next year, for example, the hope would be to arrange a get together for all those who 'graduated' in a year ending with '0' and so on.

We would be delighted to hear from you - there are a lot of you out there. If you are in the neighbourhood, call in. You will be very welcome.
